  • Graduated from University College Dublin in 1992 with an Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • In 2000 he obtained a Masters Degree in Building Services Engineering at Brunel University.
  • Tom was recruited directly from U.C.D by Schlumberger Ltd and worked on mechanical, electrical and electronics engineering operations in the oil industry in Africa and Scotland
  • He joined ARUP Dublin in 1994 and undertook mechanical, electrical, lift and IT building engineering design duties across a range of business sectors. His project experience includes office, retail, leisure, pharmaceutical, laboratory, industrial, residential, mission critical developments and specialist reports.
  • In 2001 Tom was made an Associate in ARUP
  • Tom remained with ARUP until 2006 at which point he launched Ascough Consulting Engineers with his brother Sean and former ARUP colleague Andrew Ormonde.
  • Tom Ascough is a Chartered Engineer and a Director of Ascough Consulting Engineers.
  • Tom is married to Jacki and they have six children.
